Children’s Coloring Contest This Monday, June 9th at 12:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM we will be having a children’s coloring contest. Prizes will be awarded, and a good time will be had by all. This is a free event, and we encourage our parents to hang around while Miss Patty and Lex encourage your children to do their best. Beginning at 7:00 PM, on June 13th and every second Friday of the month we are inviting new authors and published authors to come and showcase their work. Summer Reading Program It’s going to be either hot, rainy, or sultry, so why not beat the heat and gather with your friends, eat popcorn, drink a soda and read your favorite book. Starting this Tuesday, June 10th at 7:00 PM and running through the summer, we will be hosting an evening of relaxation and fun as young people come to read and discuss one of the books from their summer reading list. Cold Reads
We have saved the third Thursday of each month for Cold Reads. Starting June 19th, authors can gather and read their unpublished works. From poetry to prose, they will receive helpful and insightful feedback from an interested audience. We will begin at 7:00 PM. Call ahead and plan to stay to help with the critiques.
