“Our public worship should be an extension of our private devotions.”
Before we take our journey into the participants in worship, allow me to take a side road and examine the vast canyon called: The Preparation for Worship. For indeed, before we can have a meaningful worship experience there needs to be preparations made.
There are two areas of preparation that need to be understood.
- The first is the personal preparation. This is when you take the time to get alone with the Lord. All you really need is the Bible, but it would be more meaningful if you had the following items; a pencil, notepad, a commentary, a study guide, and a prayer list. Having soft instrumental music playing may be a distraction or it may help mask the distractions from without.
